OBITUARY:
John Wesley Dalrymple, was born October 16, 1839, in Clinton County, O., departed this life in Wells County, Indiana, February 8, 1912, age 72 years, 3 months, 22 days. He was married to Eliza Ellen Baumbrige (Bainbridge), in Clinton County, O., Jan. 31, 1863, she departed this life in December (November), 1886. Eight children were born to this union, two deceased in infancy, two in childhood Armina Alice and Ira Adalaska, four remain, Frank G. of Liberty Center, Ireans of Eaton, O., Mrs. Swan Haughton of Linn Grove, Mrs. Pearl Boyer, of Rockcreek Center, Ind. He was married to Jane Stetzel Jan. 2, 1892, of Huntington County, Indiana. He leaves to mourn his departure, a wife, four children, 11 grandchildren, one brother, H.W. Dalrymple, Bluffton, (sisters) Lavina Richards, California, Laura Worley (Louisa Wehrley), of Eaton, O., Am Worley (Judith Ann Wehrley), West Manchester, O., besides a host of relatives and friends. At an early age he united with the Christian Church, later he united with the Brethern or Dunkerd church of which he was a consistent member until the time of his death. He looked forward to his eternal home with joy and peace, and calmly awaited the call to the larger, fuller and higher life.
