George Daniel “Showboat” Lindsey, age 62, of Fayetteville, TN passed away at his residence on Monday, July, 30, 2018. Graveside funeral service for Mr. Lindsey will be conducted at 1 PM on Thursday, August 2, 2018, at Gatlin Cemetery with Rev. James Barnes officiating. Visitation will be Thursday at 10 AM until 12 PM at Higgins Funeral Home.

He was a native of Lincoln County, TN and retired from Goodman Manufacturing . He was a member of Brogan Avenue Baptist Church and graduated from the old Central High School in 1976. Since his retirement last June, Danny was the happiest he had been in a long time due to finally getting to spend as much time as possible with the loves of his life, his precious granddaughter, Ellie and Abbie, who lovingly called him “Papa”. A name he adored!

He was the son of the late “Lightning” and Annie Ruth Patterson Lindsey. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Woodrow and Alma Reyer Patterson and Bert and Virgie Daniel Lindsey; sister, Diane L. Medley; brother-in-law, Jimmy Medley; and nephews, Michael Cassidy Lindsey and Michael Medley. Survivors include 3 children and spouses, five grandchildren, three siblings, nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles, numerous cousins, great-nieces and great-nephews, friends, and ex-coworkers from Goodman.
