Alan Daniel, 43, a loving son, brother, uncle and friend, passed away unexpectedly Monday, Feb. 18, 2008.

Celebration of life: 11 a.m. Saturday at Thompson's Harveson and Cole Funeral Home.

Memorials: In lieu of flowers, donations in his name may be made to the Humane Society of North Texas, 1840 E. Lancaster Ave., Fort Worth, Texas 76103.

Alan Guy Daniel was born to the late Melba and James Guy Daniel on Sept. 24, 1964, in Hillsboro, the baby brother to four older sisters. He was a 1983 graduate of Boswell High School and attended the University of Texas at Austin and the University of Texas at Arlington.

Alan enjoyed spending as much time as possible with his family and friends. He was an avid Texas Longhorns fan, loved a good poker game, and playing with his two dogs, Schautzie and Mack. He was a genuine and generous man, who enriched the lives of everyone he met. He loved to laugh and lived life to the fullest with no regrets.

Alan will be remembered and missed by all those he came in contact with for his huge heart and his wonderful sense of humor. In addition to his parents, Alan was preceded in death by his grandparents, Lee and Letha Daniel.

Survivors: His sisters, Kathryn Franklin, Debra Walker and her husband, Scott, Jimmie Daniel, and Ava Boenker; nephews, Jeremy Franklin and his wife, Elke, David Walker, Raphael Walker, and Gabriel Walker and his wife, Kelli; nieces, Sunni Wheelwright and her husband, David, and Michaele Walker; great-nieces, Layla Walker, Reina Walker and Madison Wheelwright; aunts, Louise Olson, Ruby Wharton and Alice Hobbs; and uncles, Kenneth Sparkman and Charles Sparkman.
