Dexter E. Adams, 87, Cadiz, died Saturday, July 28, 2018, at Trigg County Hospital following a long illness.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at King's Funeral Home with the Revs. Lester Watson and Joe Johnson officiating.

Burial will follow in Green Hill Memorial Gardens with military honors.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the service time Tuesday at the funeral home.

A native of Cadiz, he was born Dec. 24, 1930, the son of the late Jagoe and Lois Helen Barnes Adams. He was a retired U.S. Air Force veteran, serving as a physician's assistant. He was a member of the American Legion and Caldwell Blue Spring Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Phyllis Adams, two sisters and four brothers.

Survivors include his sons, Rodney (Stacy) Adams, Dean (Donna) Beutler, Dennis Beutler and Doug Beutler, all of Florida; his daughters, Kathy Adams and Susie Veach, both of Florida; his sisters, Nancy (Charles) Ferguson, Eddyville and Margie Thomas, Hopkinsville; his companion, Bonnie Flynn, Cadiz; eight grandchildren and a number of great-grandchildren.
