July 28, 2018 in Gulfport, MS., Rev. Robert Preston will officiate at the service. Burial will be in New Hope Church Cemetery under the direction of Baylous Funeral Home. She was a native of Pearlington, MS., she was retired from Hancock County Development Center. A member of New Hope Baptist Church. Survivors include 1 daughter Bliss Acker of Diamondhead, Ms., 1 grandson Zayonte Acker of Diamondhead, MS., 4 sisters Philomena Reed of Newport News, VA., Andrelle Nicholson, of Hattiesburg, MS., Dinah Nicholson and Debra Fulton of Pearlington, MS., 3 brothers Walter Acker, Clarence Acker both of Pearlington, Ms., Leroy Acker of Wiggins MS., preceded in death by husband Celestine Jurett, parents Albert and Corine Acker, 1 sister Jacqueline Acker Bradly.
