Deceased was a native of Wisconsin, forty-eight years of age, and had been a resident of this county since its early settlement, twenty-one years ago.
About ten or twelve years ago he met with an accident which injured his skull. He went east and underwent treatment which helped him somewhat, but for a number of years he has required constant care on account of attacks of epilepsy.
When the final summons came he passed away suddenly but peacefully, having arisen just a few moments before to procure a drink of water.
A widow and six children survive him.
Among relatives present at the funeral from a distance were Charles Herron and family of Tappen, N. D., George Herron, Viroqua, Wis., Mr. Garey, Wife and daughter Elsie of Conde.
