Edward married Lillie May Yeley Sept. 20, 1890, in Bartholomew Co., Indiana. Their children were Mabel, Ivory, Alfred, Dores, Lester, and John Anderson. He loved all his children very much, he loved his grandchildren more than the world itself. Edward was named in honor of Col. Elmer Ephraim Ellsworth, the first Union officer to die in the American Civil War.

Edward Ellsworth Anderson 69, 408 Oakley street, died at 3:30 o'clock yesterday afternoon In the Deaconess hospital
He is survived by five sons, Harry of Ocala, Fla., Alfred N. of Portland, Ore., Doras E. of Los Angeles, Cal., John E. of Cincinnati O., and Lester L. Anderson of Evansvllle; two daughters, Mrs. Walter Winters of Evansvllle and Mrs. Charles F. Powell of Chicago; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
The body is at the Albert Johann Memorial temple. It will be removed to the home of Mrs. Winters, 408 Oakley street, at 1 o'clock this afternoon where it will be in state until 11 o'clock Saturday morning when it will be returned to the temple for funeral services at 3 o'clock. The Rev. L.S. Phillipp of Fourth Street M.E. church will be in charge Burial will be in Oak Hill cemetery.
