ADAMS, Mr. Foster A. - Age 70, passed away Sunday, July 8, 2018 at his residence.

Mr. Foster “Al” Allen Adams was born November 2, 1947, in Hazard, Kentucky. The son of Windom Lee and Lillie Mae Adams. He moved to Flint in 1968 where he began working for General Motors until he retired from Delphi/Chevrolet Manufacturing (Chevy in the Hole) in 2008. Mr. Adams enjoyed fishing with his sons, watching game shows, wrestling and almost any sport that was ball related. Mr. Adams was an avid bowler. He was on multiple bowling leagues at Northwest Bowling Alley. He was also an assistant bowling coach for Flushing High School. Mr. Adams enjoyed playing Mrs. Pac-Man after bowling matches. He also enjoyed playing games such as Dominoes, Pokeno, Black Jack, Greedy and Solitaire Blast. His favorite past time was sitting on the deck with his wife and dogs, enjoying nature. For fun he loved dropping the top on his Vet while listening to Jazz, Blues and Old School classics. He was fondly called “The Grouch”, “Fester”, “Al Foster”, “Alf”, “Al Steezy” and “Goat”. He was always full of smiles and laughs. Mr. Adams loved to spend time and share laughs with his many grandchildren, children and especially his wife. He had a quiet nature, humble spirit and a kind, loving heart. He could whistle any song and had a beautiful singing voice. He would often be caught singing around the house or to his wife or children.

Mr. Foster “Al” Adams leaves to cherish his memory: devoted wife, Brenda of 24 years of marriage and 37 years of friendship; 2 daughters, Tiffany (Michael) Thomas of Grand Rapids, MI, AlTrashonna (Dane) Dillon of Harper Woods, MI; 4 sons, Daryl Adams, Sr., Timothy and Brendan Adams, all of Flint, Mandrell (BJ) Bryant, Sr., of Comstock Park, MI; 4 god-daughters, Michele (Gerald) Pano and Me’Chelle Beaugard, both of Flint, Jamika Panek of Florence, AZ and Najla Moore of Houston, TX., grandchildren, Damarius Adams, Tyena and Jessena Neely, Bre’Ana Days, Dymand Adams, Jalen and Avant Adams, all of Flint, LaDon, Ronajah, Mariah, Micaiah, Michael and Gabriel Thomas of Grand Rapids, MI, Mantrecce and Mandre Bryant of Flint, Mandrell Bryant Jr., Zion, Carle’shia, Shan’thony and Anthony Taylor, all of Comstock Park, MI, Adonis, Gequez and Gerele Pano of Flint, MI, and Day’Von Beaugard of Flint, MI; 2 sisters, Rose (Melvin) Smithers and Dessie Hamilton of Lexington, KY; brother, Wilbert “John” Adams of Wilmore, KY; a host of nieces, nephews, including special niece and nephew, Timothy and Charmaine Mathis, Patricia Isom and Trina Black, also great niece Shawana Webster; sister-in-law, Linda (James) Russey; brother-in-law, Eddie Smith; special family and friends, Gene and Lou Ross, Ed Jarema, Jerry and Lorain Croteau, Bryant Nolden, Debra Sherbino, Versie and Ronald Roland, Ola Ellison, Allen “MeMe” Adams, Roosevelt Elbert, Roosevelt and Ruth Tardy, Addie Thomas, John Carter, Gene and Patricia Moore, Lorenza and Shurene Walker, Patrick and Carlas Coleman, and his neighbor wives, Maosie Turner and Judith Nolden.
Mr. Foster Adams was preceded in death by; son, Samuel Adams; grandson, Daryl K. Adams, Jr., parents, Windom Lee and Lillie Mae Adams; sisters, Georgia Mae Oliver, Helen Richmond, Matra Isom; brothers Dillard and Berlen “Charles” Adams; close friend, Bonnie Sue Elbert and special niece, Bernice Norris.
