Thomas and Dulcenia's first child (Thomas Jefferson) was born in 1887 before they were married. T.J. was raised by Dulcenia's half-sister and her husband: G.W. and Mary Belcher. Mary had a child around the same time and he was named G.W. Jr. and he and T.J. were raised as twins, per 1900 census record. yDNA testing of T.J.'s grandson and great grandson has led to this finding. Both participants are surnamed Belcher, but test as Owens.
