FULTON - Nelda Fay Painter, 74, passed away Sunday, June 10, 2018, at Diversicare in Amory. She was born November 13, 1943, in Mantachie to W.C. and Lois Reynolds Franks. She worked for Itawamba and Mantachie Manufacturing. Never short for conversation, Nelda loved talking to people, going to yard sales, and listening to the scanner. She loved her family, especially all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 12, at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Fulton with Bro. Joseph Jones officiating. Burial will be in the Fulton Cemetery.

Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Donnie Painter; one son, Larry Painter (Kelly); one daughter, Lynn Bennett (Ricky); and two sisters, June McMillen (Eddie) and Donna Upton (Stanley), all of Fulton; one brother, Wig Franks of Mantachie; eight grandchildren, Johnathan Taylor, Britany Marks (Thomas), Natasha Cross, Nathan Bennett (Shea), Nash Bennett, Candi Painter, Andrew Painter, and Jacob Painter; seven great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Willene Russell; and one brother, Jimmy Mike Franks.

Pallbearers will be Nathan Bennett, Andrew Painter, Stacy Smith, Steve Edwards, Chris Dickinson, and Scotty Hughes. Nash Bennett will be an honorary pallbearer.

Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Monday, June 11, at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home in Fulton
