John Christian Hauer was born March 18, 1965 in Columbia, Missouri, and died February 26, 2018 in Colton, California. He was the son of Christian Ewing Hauer, Jr. and Elizabeth Buchanan Hauer. He grew up in Fulton, Missouri, graduating from Fulton High School in 1983. He graduated from the New England School of Photography in 1989 with honors in Technical Color. His favorite job was the two plus years he worked for the Pacific Southwest Research Station in Riverside, California. Even after he started working for Federal Express he continued to work as a volunteer at the Research Station and received the U.S. Forest Service Volunteer of the Year award in 2013. He is survived by his parents; a sister, niece, nephew, two aunts; an uncle and seven cousins. There will be a graveside service at Maple Hill Cemetery on June 17, 2018 for the family, with a visitation
after the service at Redstone Village from 3p.m. until 5p.m.
