Anne M. Kreher (Borcher) was born September 10, 1920 in Rib Lake, Wisconsin. She passed away peacefully May 31, 2018. Mom grew up on a dairy farm. Her family moved to Maplewood, MO when she was in high school. Her mother owned a small cafe where she worked waiting tables and caught the eye of my father. She loved her family, taking care of grandchildren, her home, gardens and flowers along with all her dogs and horses. Anne was an accomplished horsewoman showing at the American Royal. She loved trail rides into her 70's with her friends She was always a loyal volunteer with the parish church serving at chili suppers, gardening and the care of Mass purificators. A highlight of her life was her audience with Pope John Paul II in Rome. Anne was preceded in death by her beloved husband George and her daughter Sandra Montgomery, as well as her parents, two sisters and three brothers. She is survived by her children Kit Nielson (the late Fred Nielson), Richard Kreher (Pam), David Kreher (Pam), Robert Kreher (the late Judy Kreher), Debbie Brawley (Donnie), Linda Keene (Garry) and son-in-law Robert Montgomery (Eden). She will be greatly missed as a grandmother to Lauren, Linden, LIsa, Scott, Ryan, Jennifer, Matthew, Allison, Jordan, Andrew, Kelsey, Aaron and Mollie, as well as to 24 great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. She also leaves many nieces, nephews and devoted friends, including Rosalie Harmon, Marilyn Cleary and Tracy Robertson. All funeral arrangements are through Ulmer Funeral Home, 1208 S. Garrison, Carthage, MO. 64836. Visitation in Carthage, MO. will be 6-7pm Wednesday June 6th at the Ulmer Funeral Home. A 10:00 AM visitation prior to an 11:00 am Funeral Mass will be Thursday June 7th at Our Lady of the Presentation in Lee's Summit, MO. Interment following at Floral Hills East. In Lieu of flowers contributions can be made to Alzheimer's Association or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
