Edward A. Manley of Golden, a civil engineer, died Tuesday. He was 70. Services were Thursday at Olinger Woods Chapel. Interment was in Golden Cemetery.

He was born July 11, 1929, in New York. On June 17, 1930 he married Jo Ann Seagraves. They had 5 children, and were seperated in 1970, and divorced in 1972. On May 6, 1972 he married Sarah La Nelle Perdue in Jackson , Ga.. He served in the military during the Korean War. He was a civil engineer for the government and a member of St. James Episcopal Church.

He is survived by his wife, two daughters, Molly, Milledgeville, Ga., and Myra Watkins, Sandersville, Ga.; three sons, THomas and George, both of Milledgeville, and Bruce of Athens, Ga., and two grandchildren.
