Addyson Jane Blackburn is a precious angel who was sent to Clay & Delyla Blackburn on October 23, 2017. Addyson was baptized on December 23rd, 2017 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Wathena, Kansas. On May 15, 2018, Addyson entered the loving arms of Jesus. Joining her grandpa, Michael Gunnoe, she will be deeply missed. Those left to lovingly cherish her short time here include her precious brother, Carter Blackburn; grandparents, Amy and Rick Clary; Harry and Kathye Blackburn; Aunts, Uncles and Cousins are Rachel and John Michael Jacaway and their children Carson and Eli Jacaway; Jenny and Scott Oakley and their children Kaleb, Kyleigh, Avyn and Emma; Amber Cloclasure and her daughter Mekayla; numerous great uncles, aunts, cousins and many other relatives and friends who were touched by Addyson.

Addyson gave us a lifetime of love during her short time here on earth. We know that we will be reunited with her in Heaven but we look forward to that day when all suffering will end. Our tears will be dried permanently and we will reside safe in the arms of Jesus with Addyson and all who have gone before us (Revelation 21:4). Until then, we will rely on Him who comforts us in all of our troubles (2 Cor. 1:3-4).

“On my knees I call your name” and offer my “broken hallelujah” “With nothing left to hold onto, I raise these empty hands to you”

Funeral mass will be held Saturday, May 19th 2018 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Shreveport, LA. Services will begin at 11:00 am. Father Jim Hurd will be officiating. Prior to the service, visitation with the family will be held at the church from 10:00 am until 11:00 am.

Pallbearers will be Michael Jacaway, Scott Oakley, Kaleb Tree and Todd Schneider. Honorary pallbearers will be Carter Blackburn, Carson Jacaway and Eli Jacaway.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to St. Jude’s Children Research Hospital.
