Cynthia Kay Abington, 61, of Arkansas City, died Thursday (May 10, 2018) at the Wesley Medical Center of Wichita. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Monday (May 14, 2018) at the Arkansas City Church of Christ. Burial will follow in the Riverview Cemetery. Mr. Wayne Robbins will officiate.
The family will greet friends 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Sunday, at the funeral home.
Cynthia was born April 27, 1957, Arkansas City, to Clyde and Georgia (Lolar) Abington. She was reared and educated in Arkansas City, graduating from Arkansas City High School in 1975. Cynthia worked as a bus - para for USD 465 Winfield school system.
Survivors include a son Cameron and wife Luraina Abington of Arkansas City; two daughters Heather Abington of Arkansas City, Samantha and husband Hai Bach of Winfield; a sister Patricia Abington of Arkansas City; and four grandchildren, Shemar Abington, Alexander Abington, Adrien Bach and London Bach; nephews Stevland Morris and Rahkeem Morris; and numerous great-nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers Charles and Kevin Abington, a sister Vida Abington and a nephew Rashad Morris.
A memorial has been established with the Arkansas City Church of Christ. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
Arrangements are being made through the Rindt-Erdman Funeral Home and Crematory of Arkansas City.
