Rosco Jones died Tuesday, May 8, 2018, at his residence. Mr. Jones was born in Kewanee, IL, May 12, 1930, to Rosco B. and Grace Edna (Holmes) Jones, Sr. He graduated from Sulphur High School. He received his electrical engineering degree from SLI (University of Louisiana Lafayette). He later received his MBA in business management from Xavier University in Cincinnati. After graduation, he went to work for General Electric Company. During the Korean Conflict he served in the U S Army at Aberdeen, MD with the ordinance division. Rosco was a longtime member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church serving in numerous capacities, he volunteered with Christian Community Ministries, Scout liaison of Boy Scout Troop 231, member of the North La Camera Club, and was an active RV camper with the National United Methodist campers.

He was preceded in death by his parents and granddaughter, Tori Luce.

Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Clara Jane (Long) Jones; daughters, Jacquelyn Marie Hendrick and husband Robert, and Barbara Jane Luce; son, William Rosco Jones and his wife Sarah; sister, Una Ethel Jones Englehart; 4 grandchildren, Walter Ryan Hendrick, Charles Matthew Luce and wife Jessie, Stephen Ross Hendrick, and Emily Ann Jones; great-grandchildren, Cooper Matthew Luce and soon arrival of Parker Eric Luce of Camden, AR; and nephews, Keith Englehart and wife Rose, and Nicky Englehart.
