Ralph was born on July 7, 1947 in Englewood, New Jersey, the son of Peter and Beatrice Donato Daniello.
He graduated from Fort Lee High School in 1966, joining the Navy that same year as a Corpsman. He then went to Vietnam as a Navy Corpsman for the Marines. Ralph was in Vietnam for one year where he was awarded the Purple Heart for injuries sustained while there. He then went to nursing school at Holy Name Hospital in Teaneck, New Jersey and graduated in 1974. He later worked at Columbia Presbyterian and then moved to Albuquerque. Ralph's first marriage was to Linda Guglielmo. He then married Deborah Eichelberger on September 22, 1979, in Tijeras Canyon, New Mexico. Together they resided in Albuquerque where he worked at Presbyterian Hospital and Anna Kaseman Hospital before moving to Letts, Iowa, in 1986. Ralph worked as a registered nurse at the University of Iowa Hospital in various departments and then retired from the College of Dentistry in 2010.
Ralph enjoyed photography, was an avid music lover, and enjoyed camping and fishing with his friends and family. He was a great storyteller and had a joke for every occasion. He especially enjoyed being a 'Poppy' to his five grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life gathering will be held from 1 until 4 p.m. with a memorial service, officiated by Bryan Hoben, at 2 p.m. on Sunday, October 1, 2017, at the Rendezvous, 3127 Lucas St, Muscatine. Burial will be at Oak Grove Cemetery
