Solemn Requiem High Mass for 1st Lt. Thomas J. McAuliffe, to whose memory the history of the 706th Grand Railway Division was dedicated, will be sung Saturday at 9:30 a.m., in St. Lawrence's Church.

Lt. McAuliffe, a graduate Central Catholic High School, was a brakeman and freight conductor for the Pennsylvania Pennsylvania Railroad.

Lt. McAliffe married Georgia Elline Proctor, Aug. 22, 1941 in Cumberland, Maryland before enlisting in the Army in November 1942. He was commisioned as 2nd lieutenant in 1943 after graduating from Army Transportation Corp. school.

He went overseas in July 1943 and was killed in France November 8, 1944.

Lt. McAuliffe in civilian life an assistant Scoutmaster of Troop 68, Boy Scouts, leaves his mother, Mary McAuliffe, of N. Aiken Ave.; two brothers, Raymond and John and two sisters, Mrs. Theresa Ryden and Mrs. Mary A. Hillebrand. Mrs. Georgia McAuliffe has remarried since his death. There were no children.
