Clara E. Belt, 62, of Clyde Township died Saturday, March 17, 2001,
in Port Huron Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 20, 2001, in the
Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home. Elder Gary G. Whiting will officiate.
Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Visiting hours are 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday, March 19, 2001..

CLYDE TWP. –Clara E. Belt, 62, of Clyde Township died Saturday, March 17, 2001 in Port Huron Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born May 29, 1938, in Ontario, Wis., and lived here since 1960. She married Floyd W. Belt Jr. in 1957 in Salem, Ore.
She was a Home Economics Teacher in the Port Huron Area School District for 30 years. She was an avid fisherman and loved to travel. She was very devoted to her family and loved her grandchildren dearly.
She is survived by her husband, Floyd W. Belt Jr. of Clyde; son, Brian L. (Christine A.) Belt of Gregory, Mich; her daughter, Brenda L. (Steven R.) Tenniswood of Marysville; her grandchildren, Daniel and Callie Belt and Emily Tenniswood; her sisters, Nancy (Dean) Mulder of Maryland and Jane Palen of Ontario, Wis.; her brother, Robert (Alice) Ferries of Ontario, Wis.; and several nieces and nephews.
