Funeral services for Daisy Lee Dukes, 76, were held at 1 1 :00 a.m., Saturday, February 28, at East Galilee Baptist Church, Rose Hill. Rev. Heidelberg officiating. Interment was at East Galilee Cemetery.
Mrs. Dukes died on February 23, at 6:45 p.m., in her home in Rose Hill. She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Nixon, born August 10, 1910 in Rose Hill. She was married to John L. Dukes, and was a member of East Galilee Baptist Church in Rose Hill.
Survivors include, her husband John L. Dukes, Rose Hill, Ms; four daughters, Mrs. Ethel Oliver, Rose Hill, Mrs. Mattie Martin, Mrs. Jean Ellis, Chicago, III., Mrs. Hohnnie Jackson, Mrs. Jean Ellis, Chicago, Ill; six sons, John D. Dukes, Bill Dukes, Dockie L. Dukes, Robert L. Dukes, Joe Dukes, Jessie L. Dukes; 28 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. Lula Bradley, Gulfport; two brothers, Lee Perryman, Pachuta; A. D. Perryman, Rose Hill and a host of nieces, nephews and relatives.
