Rose was single, 69 years, self employed music teacher who resided at 620 East Main St. in Union City.

Her father, Rev G. T Sullivan (Methodist Minister), died in 1911 while working in Kentucky. She and her mother, Minnie Boykin, moved back to Union City to live. Rosa gave private piano lessons with piano recitals held at the Methodist Church only a few blocks west of their home on East Main Street.

MISS SULLIVAN'S PUPILS IN CLASS RECITAL AT CHURCH
Miss Rose Sullivan presented her piano class in recital last Tuesday night at the Methodist Church. Miss Sullivan is foremost of all an accomplished musician. She is a music student and scholar, and her classes have advantages that are rarely found in public teaching.

The recital was an example of the fine progress made by Miss Sullivan's pupils as follows: Frank Head, Betty Burdick, Lucile Youree, Frances Whipple, Katherine Dietzel, Harriet McHugh, Frances Youree, Frances Cloys, Goalder Barnes, Sara Douglas, Mary Fry. Harriet Elam, Mrs Frank Crutchfield, Catherine Embrey, Erda McClanhan.
