Eric C. Schneider of Bellingham died Tuesday, Feb 11, 1997. He was 88. A private service was held. Burial was in Bayview Cemetery.
Born March 28, 1908 to Jacob and Olga Flesher Schneider in Bavaria, he lived in Whatcom County since 1914. During World War II, Mr. Schneider served in the U.S. Army Air Corps.
He married Betty Atkinson on March 14, 1947. She died in 1986.
Mr. Schneider worked as a sausage maker for 50 years, retiring from DeJong's Meat Packing in Lynden in 1981. He was a member of Meat Cutters local No. 44.
Survivors include daughters Cathy Forsman of Bellingham and Marion Patterson of Auburn, brother Ewald Schneider of Kelso and one grandchild.
