Sheri Anne Bush Rushing, 50, went to be with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on March 26, 2018.
Sheri was born in Laurel, MS on October 21, 1967 and raised in Brandon, MS. Sheri was a graduate of Brandon Academy and went on to earn a BS in Education and Psychology from Mississippi State University in 1989 and a BSN in nursing from Northern Kentucky University.
Sheri was dedicated to her husband, children, other family members, and friends. She considered them God’s special blessings.
Sheri is survived by her husband of 25 years, Scott Rushing; two sons, Christian James Rushing and Colin Alan Rushing; her mother, Ann Edwards Bush of Laurel; her father, William (Bill) W. Bush of Laurel; an aunt, Dorothy Edwards McClure of Fairhope, AL; and many other relatives and friends whom she treasured.
She is preceded in death by her brother, William (Billy) W. Bush, Jr.
A memorial service will be held at Laurel First United Methodist Church on March 28, 2018. Visitation will begin at 10:45 a.m. and service to follow at 11:30 a.m.
To honor Sheri’s love of nursing and caring for children, the family requests, in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to Blair E. Batson Children’s Hospital, 2500 N. State St., Jackson, MS 39216 or the charity of your choice.
