Ike Antonacci Sr.
Ike Antonacci Sr., 88, of Riverton died at 10:10 a.m. Sunday at St. John's Hospital.
Born on Jan. 21, 1898, Calascio, Italy. Mr. Antonacci was the son of Vito and Theresa Materelli Antonacci. Helen Frasco in 1922. A resident of Riverton since 1901, Mr. Antonacci was a coal miner for many years.
Predecing him in death were his parents; four brother, Blagio, Henry, Nick and Pat Antonacci, and two sisters, Mrs. Mary Bartolo and Mrs. Susie Viele.
Mr. Antonacci was a member of St. James Church at Riverton and the District 12 United Mine Workers of America.
Surviving are his wife, Helen; on daughter, Sue Antonacci of Riverton; three sons, Ike J. Antonacci Jr., and Valentino Antonacci, both of Riverton, and Vito Antonacci of Chicago; 12 grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Celia Yaniski of Springfield and Miss Ada Antonacci of Riverton; one brother, Tony V. Antonacci of Springfield; several nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 9 a.m. Wednesday at St. James Church, Riverton with the Rev. John Sullivan, OFM, officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
Staab Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
