Joan Gaddie was born April 27, 1930 in Duncan, Oklahoma to Eva (Bennight) and Charles Leo Gaddie.

She graduated from Duncan High School in 1948. Joan married Jack D. Abram on June 1, 1950 in Duncan.

Joan was an avid reader and enjoyed crocheting, working in her flower and vegetable gardens and especially, helping others.

She was employed as a bookkeeper with Halliburton Credit Union. Joan was a member of New Hope Baptist Church West.

After moving to Norman to be closer to family, she enjoyed working as a volunteer in the Norman Regional Hospital Gift Shop.

Survivors include her children, Tim Abram and wife Pam and Lisa Woods and husband Randy; two grandchildren, Julie Speer and husband Clay and Abby Boyles and husband Garrett; three great-grandchildren, Carson Speer, Corynn Speer and Jasmyn Boyles, all of Norman, Oklahoma; and many other family members.

Joan was preceded in death by her husband, Jack D. Abram in 2005; her parents, Eva and Charles Leo Gaddie; two sisters, Margie Lee Jones and Janice Gayle Gaddie; a brother, Donald Gaddie; and a grandson, Mark Abram.

Her services will be held Saturday March 24, 2018 at the Don Grantham Funeral Home Chapel, Duncan, with the Rev. Randy Southerland officiating. Interment will follow at Duncan Cemetery.
