Eloise and her husband loved to travel the country, Canada and Mexico in their RV, and she loved to take pictures.

She is survived by her husband of 70 years, Rice Nutting; three children, Joel Nutting, Todd Nutting (Mary Beth) and Daralee Oleson (Mark); 5 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren; a sister, Laura Norton; brother Clarence (Dude) Martin and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Monday, March 5th at Ratterman and Sons, 3800 Bardstown Road. The funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Highland Baptist Church. Online condolences may be left at www.ratterman.com.

2018 Posting by granddaughter Genevieve: In remembrance and celebration of a woman who made every moment in her 96 years on this earth fulfilling and worth remembering.

She and my grandfather traveled all over the world up until the last few years, and always had fascinating stories about the adventures upon their arrival in their RV home when they would visit us. She was a tiny thing, standing under 5 feet tall, but such a personality and laugh to fit in a little yet strong body. My sister and I loved sitting in their RV, playing cards, or listening to their stories. Sometimes they even involved Grandma talking to Shakespeare, I believe secretly she knew him in a past life. The smell of Folgers Coffee and Sweet & Low to this day brings back a beautiful image of my grandparents reading the paper in the morning, and Eloise with her camera attached to her hand from the moment she woke up, until the second she went to bed. She captured everything with that camera, and I mean everything! It would drive us crazy at times as kids, but I am so thankful now to have those photos.

Though we didn't get to see them as often as we would have liked, they made sure to stay connected keeping up with technology and sending us updated emails and pictures of where they'd been.

What I really admired about them was how obvious it was from even a young age their abundant love and respect for the other. You aren't married to someone for over 50 years if you don't have respect and admiration for the person lying next to you every night.

These pictures are a beautiful reminder to periodically look at life through a different lens, that if what you're doing with your life doesn't make you smile at the end of the day, change it, and that no matter how rocky life might get, it is the people in our lives that will ultimately get us through it, so treat them with the love and support you might (and will) one day need.
