TEXAS BRIEFS-Area man injured in blast- Farmers Branch, Texas (AP) -A propane gas explosion and fire left four members of Lone Star Gas Co. work crew hospitalized with burns. Billy J. Jones, 46, of Petty, and Gaylon Wilburn, 35, of Irving, were listed in serious condition with burns at Parkland Memorial Hospital. James Thomas Stone, 51, of Denton, and Anthony W. McIntosh, 33, of Hugo, Okla., were in fair condition. The explosion happened on 10 Dec 1979.

Billy James Jones, 54, of Petty, Texas died at 6:15 a. m. Friday at his home. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, at Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Hickory Grove Cemetary in Petty.

Mr. Jones was born in Cove, Arkansas, 3 Sept.1934, a son of Maxwell A. and Era B. Green Jones. On 24 June 1956, he married Miss Melba Jean Posey in Paris, Texas. He was a retired supervisor for Lone Star Gas Pipeline Construction Group of Joshua, Texas.

Surviving is his wife; a daughter and son-in-law, two sons and a daughter-in-law, one brother, two sisters, and a granddaughter. Donations may be made to the Ella C. McFadden Hospice at St. Joseph's Hospital.

Tombstone is inscribed, 'SP4 US Army, Korea.
