CLARENDON - Ivon Ellis Goodman Hardin, 82, died Friday, March 31, 2006.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Larry White of Amarillo officiating.

Burial will be in Citizens Cemetery by Robertson Funeral Directors.

Mrs. Hardin was born Feb. 22, 1924, to William Hoyle and Ethel Traweek Ellis in Watonga, Okla. She married William Eugene "Billy" Goodman on June 5, 1940, at Sayre, Okla. He preceded her in death on Sept. 18, 1988. She married Homer Hardin on Nov. 22, 1990, in Clarendon.

She was a resident of Clarendon most of her life. She ran Goodman's Furniture Store with her husband Billy and also worked at The Nook in Clarendon. She was an active member of First Baptist Church in Clarendon where she was a Sunday school teacher and record keeper for many years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Goodman, on Sept. 18, 1988; a daughter, Barbara Jeanne Goodman; two brothers; and a sister.

Survivors include her husband, Homer Hardin of Clarendon; two daughters, Rhonda Looney of Amarillo and Janet Lewis of Lubbock; a stepdaugher, Cynthia Lindley of Claude; two stepsons, Wayne Hardin of Clarendon and Dwight Hardin of Atlanta; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials be to the American Heart Association or the Animal Rescue Shelter in Amarillo.
