MAUDIE MAE COFFEY-BURTON

Maudie Mae Coffey-Burton, age 70 passed away on December 28, 1999 in a local hospital in Texarkana, Bowie County, Texas. She had a diabetic stroke that eventually took her life. Maudie was born on April 9, 1929 in Tom, McCurtain County, Oklahoma to Lee Carl Coffey and Mattie Lee Bradshaw-Coffey.

She held several jobs in her lifetime but, first and foremost she was a mother and a good one! She was Christian and a member of St. Rest Baptist Church in Foreman, Arkansas.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Dock Nicholas Burton, Sr. One daughter, Martha Alice Burton. Six grandchildren, Ethel, Henry, Adam, Leon, Linda and Antonio.

She leaves behind five sons, Walter Earl Marks (Carol), Eddie Carl Burton (Dorothy), Dock Nicholas "Nick" Burton, Jr. (Ramona), David Lee Burton (LaRetta), Timothy DyWane Burton, Sr. (Tammie) all of Texarkana, Arkansas and one daughter, Linda Kay Burton-Henry (Dwight) of Odessa, Texas. Fourteen grandchildren, Corey, Tyrone, Chris, Nick Anthony, Torey, LaDavid, Adrian, Chassidy, Taylor, Timmy, Mandy, Dwight, Michael and Martinez.

She was loved by all and will be missed forever.
