John L. Myers Sr., 70, of Lot 135, Lake Canyada, Davenport, died Tuesday at Mercy Hospital after an extended illness.
Services will be 2:30 p.m. Thursday at Runge Chapel. Burial will be in Blue Grass Cemetery.
Visitation is after 2 p.m. today.
Mr. Myers was employed at the former Davenport Busler Co. and later at Davenport Drop Forge Co., retiring in 1975. He then operated Myers Cycle Shops in Davenport and Blue Grass.
He married Betty Dyer in 1947 in Davenport.
Survivors include his wife; daughters, Mrs. Donald (Sally) Sturms, Blue Grass, and Mrs. George (Beverly) Dunkin, Davenport; a son, John L. Jr., Davenport; eight grandchildren; a great-grandson; four step grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Flossie Roberts, Davenport, and brothers, Albert R., Ely, Minn., and Louis L. Sr., Tennessee, Ill.
