Mr. Tallant was born on 11 Dec 1906, near Glenwood, Arkansas, a son of Thomas J. and Lula Huggins Tallant. He attended schools in Biardstown, Texas.
Survivers include his wife, Marvelle Tallant; two sons, Weldon JaJuan Tallant and Royce Burton Tallant; three grandchildren; Russell & David Tallant and Carrie Tallant; Two brothers, Duane Tallant and Wendell Tallant; four sisters, Otha Smith, Mrs. Rex (Alma) Dicken; Mrs. John (Nota) Boren, and Mrs. Earl (Wanda) Waters.
Mr. Tallant was a member of the Church of Christ in Nashville. He worked many years for the Standard Coffee Company.
