Mrs. Rose Furman, 77, of 336 Eighth St., died Monday in Phoenix, Ariz., where she was visiting her daughter, Mrs. Paul Pomerville. Her death was unexpected.
The former Rose Ferguson was born on Jan. 2, 1891, in Byron, the daughter of Patrick and Elizabeth Drumm Ferguson. She was married to George Furman on Nov. 28, 1912, in St. John’s Catholic Church, Byron. He preceded her in death on March 31, 1963.
Following their marriage they resided in Milwaukee, moved to Lamartine and to Fond du Lac in 1924 and had resided on Eighth Street since that time. Mrs. Furman was a member of St. Patrick’s Church and Altar and Rosary Society.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Pomerville and Mrs. Rolland Ablard of the city; one son, Arlyn, city; 10 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs. Anna Puls and Mrs. Vincent Sweeney, both of the city. She was preceded in death by two sons; three brothers and three sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday from the Uecker-Witt Funeral Home and 9:30 a.m. at St. Patrick‘s Church, Rev. Donald Elvrman officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call after 3 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Rev. Donald Elverman officiated. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery.
The Altar and Rosary Society attended the services in a body. Pallbearers were Donald Furman, Bernard Furman, Harlyn Furman, Edward Huck, Leo Huck and Lester HucK.
