Local Actor Sheehan Dies
Edward H. Sheehan Sr., an actor well known for his performances in New Orleans during the 50’s and 60’s, died Tuesday at West Jefferson Hospital after a brief illness. He was 69.
Funeral arrangements were incomplete late Tuesday. E. J. Ranson Funeral Home, 1024 Elysian Fields Ave., is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Sheehan was best known for performances at Le Petit Theatre du Vieux Carre, but he also performed at Gallery Circle Theater as well as in his own productions.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Evelyn M. Sheehan; three daughters, Evelyn M. Sheehan, Grace L. Castillo and Helen A. Kentner; three sons, Edward H., Raymond W. and Michael P. Sheehan, and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Sheehan, Sr., on Tuesday, May, 10, 1977 at 9:30 o’clock a.m., beloved husband of Mrs. Evelyn Winter Sheehan, father of Mrs. Evelyn Fersavich [Tersavich}, of Connecticut, Mrs. Grace Castillo, Mrs. Helen Kentner, Edward H. Jr., Raymond W. and Michael P. Sheehan, brother of Mrs. May Pariseault, also survived by grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral services from the funeral home of E.J. Ranson & Son, 1024 Elysian Fields Ave., on Friday, May 13, 1977 at 11 o’clock a.m. Graveside services with interment in St. Bernard Memorial Gardens. Friends may call after 6 p.m., Thursday.
