Nathan Strayer passes away at home in DeGraff, Ohio
The death of John William Strayer came very suddenly. He was taken ill about five o'clock this morning and he passed away at 8 o'clock. He was the victim of neuralgia of the heart. The death of Nathan Strayer occurred about 2:30 this morning. He had been in poor health for several years.
John William Strayer has been a resident of this county nearly all his life. He was the son of Daniel Nicholas and Sarah F. Loffer Strayer. He would have been sixty-two years of age on November 14, of this year. He has been engaged in farming on the St Clair-Jewell farm a distance from Ludlow road.
He leaves a wife and seven children to mourn his death. The children are as follows: Vernon Strayer, south of Bellefontaine, on the Hubbard farm, Mrs. Blaine Kauffman, south of the city on the Kinnan farm, Mrs. Nelson Smith, near Walnut Grove church, Mrs. Muncie Hoylman, on DeGraff and West Liberty pike, Emil, Cleo and Willis at home.
He leaves the following brothers and sisters; S.L. Strayer, Sidney, Mrs. Minta Kaser, Sidney, Jacob Strayer, DeGraff, Mrs. Ella Roach, DeGraff, V.O. Strayer, Rockford, Ohio, Mrs. Emma Kinkley, Mendon, Ohio, D. H. Strayer, south of this city.
Burial was made in the DeGraff cemetery.
