Eva Mae Canfield, age 99, life-long resident of Richmond Township, Crawford County passed away at Wesbury United Methodist Community on Saturday, November 7, 2015. Born on August 13, 1916, in Richmond Township, Eva was a daughter of the late Chancey Castile and Sarah Wildman Castile. She married Arthur Bartlett Canfield on January 20, 1934 and he preceded her in death on October 13, 1994.

A home maker, Eva particularly enjoyed playing cards, traveling, playing Bingo, crocheting and craft work. She was a member of the Woodcock United Methodist Church, the Rockdale Garden Club, and a former member of the Order of the Eastern Star in Cambridge Springs. Also she was a former member of the Woodcock Township Ladies. Eva had worked at Talon, Inc. in Meadville, in the cafeteria of Townville High School and as a cook at the Presbyterian Home in Cambridge Springs and also as a cook at the Home Restaurant in Cambridge Springs.

Surviving Eva is a son – George Raymond Canfield and his wife, Joquetta of Cambridge Springs and a daughter-in-law – Lois Canfield of Saegertown; five grandchildren – Craig Canfield and his wife, Glenda of Cambridge Springs; Daryl Canfield and his wife, Jane of Saegertown; Sandra Woge of Mt. Holley, NC; Nila Bill and her husband, James of Cambridge Springs; Jacquelyn Hasenkopf and her husband, David of New Providence, NJ; fifteen great grandchildren – Kimberley and her husband, James McGill; Bethany Castle and her husband, Michael; Andrew Canfield and his wife, Rachael; Philip Canfield and his wife, Kerri; Lydia Humes and her husband, James; Sarah Canfield; Logan Bill; Lance Bill; JR Woge; Ryan Woge; Orry Woge; Colton Woge; Bejamin Hasenkopf; Christopher Hasenkopf; and Madelyn Hasenkopf; one step great granddaughter – Lindsey White; eight great great grandchildren – Kyle Humes and Colton Humes; Hunter and Madison Canfield; Penelope Canfield and Owen Canfield; JD McGill and Glenn McGill; one step great great granddaughter – Kiley White. Preceding Eva in death in addition to her husband and parents was a son – Glenn A. Canfield; four sisters – Velma Prentice, Florence Running, Ada Humes, and Phoebe Huson; and four brothers – Clifton Castile, Alma Castile, James Castile, and Harmon Castile.

A memorial service will be held at a later time to be announced.
