Roy is survived by his wife of 44 years and high school sweetheart- Betty Balcerak (nee Hill); two children- Jody (Brian) Kristoff, Brad (Amy) Balcerak; five grandchildren- Kyle, Aaron, and Andrew Kristoff; Laine and Miles Balcerak; two sisters- Patricia (Patrick) O’Brien, Jennifer (Joseph) Strickley; brother-Larry Watson and numerous nieces and nephews.
Roy was born in Gary, IN on March 5, 1952.
He was a union carpenter for over 40 years, in Local #1005. He was known by many as a true craftsman, not only with his hands but also with his heart and kind words.
He was proud to have served in the United States Navy Reserve and was a diehard Cubs fan.
Roy is preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Doris Balcerak; brothers-Delos “Duke” Watson and Ronald Watson; sister-Carolyn Bumbales.
