Charles David Carnahan, longtime Valley peace officer died Sunday morning in a Harlingen rest home where he had been a patient for the past six weeks.
Mr Carnahan came to the Valley Valley from Denton 42 years ago He was a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include his widow Ida F Carnahan (nee Teter), daughter Mrs Kenneth Arline Hull of Fort Worth, two stepsons Floyd Hoel of Harlingen and J. D Hoel of Pryor, OK; three nieces and nephews.
