Charles Allen Helvey, age 71, of Cynthiana, Kentucky, died Monday, December 5, 2011, at Georgetown Community Hospital, in Georgetown, Kentucky. Born in Lexington, Kentucky, on January 26, 1940, to the late Charles Nelson and Mary Gay Gereheart Helvey, he was a member of Shawhan Baptist Church and a truck driver for 25 years.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by: his wife, Loretha Murphy; a son, Richard Keith Helvey; and a brother, Michael R. Helvey. He is survived by: two sons, Steven Allen Helvey and Tim "Harv or Peace Man" Helvey, both of Cynthiana; a daughter, Felicia Helvey, of Berea; two brothers, Paul Helvey and Gary Helvey; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
There are no services at this time. Arrangements are under the direction of Ware Funeral Home.
