CLEARFIELD - Loving husband and father, Ryan Sean Perala, 40, passed away January 21, 2018.

He was born October 24, 1977 in Decatur, Georgia, the son of George B. and Rilla K. Soderstrom Perala. He attended high school in Meridian, ID and was in the first graduating class of Eagle High School. After studying Marine Biology for one year at the University of Puget Sound, Ryan returned to Boise where he received a Bachelor's degree at Boise State University in Music Business.

Ryan married his best friend and love of his life, Vanessa Ann Abernathy, on July 13, 2002 in Meridian, Idaho.

He was faithful member of Legacy Church in Meridian and Elevation Church in Clearfield where he served on the audio/visual team. He also gave time in summer to serve in the kitchen at the Pine Acres Youth Camp in Donnelly, Idaho. He has been the Director of Patient Access at Ogden Regional Hospital for the last four years.

Ryan loved spending time with his family, snowmobiling, cross country skiing and playing tennis with Vanessa, fishing and video games with his boys as well as cheering them on at their sporting events. He also enjoyed cooking, grilling, and trying out new recipes.

He had a servant's heart and was so willing to help others. He touched many lives as a result. He will be deeply missed by those who know and love him.

Surviving are his wife, Vanessa; sons: Jadon and Micah; parents: George and Rilla Perala; grandma, Doris Soderstrom; brother, Scott Perala; and sister, Gretchen Wallace.

Friends may visit family Sunday, January 28, 2018 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist's Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.
