Roger was born in Buffalo, New York in 1942 to Milton August Damaschke and Opal Geraldine (Anderson) Damaschke. When he was a child, his family moved to the Detroit Michigan area. He attended both Cass Tech and Farmington High School.
After graduation, he began working for Chardam Gear - a company founded by his dad and uncle. He married, had three daughters and started his own interior decorating company. Although the marriage didn't survive, Decorating by Rogers did very well both with residential and commercial projects throughout the Detroit metro area.
Roger moved to St. Augustine, Florida in 1985 where Florida Wallpapering and Services began. In 1991 he bought land west of St. Augustine and began farming trees. He retired in 2010 to Silver Springs, Florida and lived a quiet life.
Roger passed away at Ocala Regional Hospital on January 19, 2018.
