SAMUEL LAWHEAD, DEKALB COUNTY FARMER, IS DEAD
Deceased, 82 Years of Age, was Father of Mrs. Perry Grosh of Auburn

SAMUEL JAMES LAWHEAD, for half a century a farmer in Richland Township, living a half mile west of Sixteen Church, passed away Monday night at 9 o'clock at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Frank Miller of North Randolph Street, Garrett.

Mr. Lawhead reached the age of eighty-two last Oct 16 and he had been feeble. His condition became critical last Friday. Funeral services will be held at Sixteen Church Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock. The Rev. OB Noren of Auburn, will officiate and internment will be made in Sixteen Cemetery.

Mr. Lawhead ws born at St. Joe and he and Sarah Catherine Kagey of Richland Township were married Dec 2, 1875. Her death took place two years ago. Since that time Mr. Lawhead had made his home with his daughters. Mrs. Perry Depew of northwest of Garrett and Mrs. Miller.

Surviving also are two other daughters, Mrs. Perry Grosh of South Van Buren Street Auburn and Mrs. Carl Runge of Wabash; one son, Frank Lawhead of Marcus IA; thirteen grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.
