Higgins was a trustee for the Birchwood Farm Co., & the Northwestern and Pacific Hypotheek Bank farm mortgages, w/colleagues consisting of Frank Truman Post and Antoine Edward Russell; pioneer lawyers who practiced in the Exchange National Bank Bldg, counseling for the W.W.P, Birchwood Farm Company, Pacific States Telephone & Telegraph Co., Home Tel & Tel Co., the Federal Mining And Smelting Co., the Holland-Washington Mtg., and various Insurance companies/corps, and the Post, Avery and Higgins law firm (1893-1900).
