Lavon "Mama Bragg" Dudley, age 100, of Kirbyville died Wednesday, Oct. 9, at Avalon Place in Kirbyville. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday at Trout Creek Missionary Baptist Church with burial at Trout Creek Cemetery. Visitation will begin 5:00 p.m. Thursday at E.E. Stringer Funeral Home in Kirbyville. A native of Lovelady, Texas, she had lived most of her life in the Trout Creek community. She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, William "Papa Bragg" Bragg and also Rufus Dudley. Survivors include one son, Richard Bragg and his wife Lavern of Broaddus; two daughters, Dolores Whitaker of Kirbyville and Glynn Lanham and her husband Dick of Trout Creek; 14 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and great - great grandchildren.
