Born August 15, 1927 in Bellingham, WA, Glen was one of four children born to Wilfred and Rhoda Ackerman. As an adult, Glen joined the Army and then joined the Army Airforce. After being honorably discharged from the service, he completed barber courses and opened Glen’s Barber Shop in Edmonds, WA. Glen cut hair for over 39 years before retiring. He continued to work as a volunteer at the Edmonds Senior Center and at the food bank for many years after retiring.
Glen is survived by his older sister, Crystal Johanson, his daughter and son in-law Joyce and Robert Pilgrim, his grandsons Robert and Bay (Glen) Harris, great grandson Jesse Harris, many nieces, nephews and a host of very much loved family and friends.
