Robert Lee Acree (Bullet), 71, passed away Sunday, December 17, 2017 at home in Clayton, AL surrounded by his family. Mr. Acree retired from the City of Gainesville, FL and moved to Clayton where he made many friends. He attended Union Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Lillie Belle Acree.

He is survived by his son, Jimmy A. Harvey (Alicia); grandsons: Dylan Harvey, Clayton and Kelsea Manning and Robert Harvey; 2 great granddaughters: Aria and Laylie Manning; sister, Elizabeth William (Russell) of Gainesville, FL. He is also survived by his best friend of 35 years, Karen St. Pierre.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 30 at 10:00 am at Union Baptist Church, 508 Bowden Rd., Clayton. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to Texasville Volunteer Fire Dept. at 2753 County Rd. 53, Clayton, AL 36016 where Mr. Acree served for many years.

Robert Lee Acree (Possum), age 71, passed away on Sunday, December 17, 2017, at his home in Clayton, Alabama, surrounded by his family. Mr. Acree was a Christian and attended Union Baptist Church in Clayton. He retired from the City of Gainesville Public Works, and then began splitting his time between Alabama and Florida. Bob loved and lived to hunt and fish. He was a friend to all, always helping where he could.

Born in Jacksonville, Florida to Oscar and Lillie Belle Leigh Acree, he grew up in Gainesville and graduated from Gainesville High School, class of 1964. He joined the Marine Corp Reserves and served for nine years. He eventually settled in Melrose.

He is survived by his son, Jimmy A. Harvey (Alicia); grandsons, Dylan Harvey, Clayton Manning (Kelsea) and Robert Harey; two great-granddaughters, Aria and Laylie Manning; sister, Elizabeth Acree Williams (Russell); nephew, Jason Williams; and many, many good friends.

A memorial service is being planned for January 2018. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Texasville Volunteer Fire Department at 2753 County Rd 53, Clayton, AL 36016, where Bob faithfully served for many years.
