On June 15, 2012, Russell peacefully rejoined his wife Maxine to begin his journey with the angels. He is survived by his loving children, Diane and Roger (Mary) Ashton; grandsons, Aaron and Corey (Susan) Nakai; great grandson, Ashton Nakai; great granddaughter, Amaya Nakai; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. Visitation at Olinger Crown Hill, West 29th Ave. & Wadsworth from 5:00-7:00 p.m., Thursday, June 21. Funeral service will be held at Central Christian Church, 3690 Cherry Creek Drive South, Denver, Colorado at 11:00 a.m., Friday, June 22, followed by interment at Crown Hill. The family suggests contributions to Tennyson Center for Children at Colorado Christian Home, 2950 Tennyson, Denver, CO 80212.
