Evening Star Newspaper - Another Old Citizen Gone -- The death of John H. Plant, which occurred on Sunday, March 7th, at his residence, No. 44 H Street northwest, calls to mind that another old inhabitant of Washington has passed away. Mr. Plant was born in Georgetown, DC August 12th, 1812, but his parents moved to this city when he was three months old, and he has resided here ever since. He was one of the first members of the Oldest Inhabitants' Association when that society was formed her, but owing to poor health was unable to attend its meetings for some years. His funeral took place from St. Aloysius' church, of which he was a devout member, on Tuesday last. After the mass the remains were removed to the hearse by the bearers - Mr. Charles Jones, Mr. John Coombs, Mr. John Dudley, Mr. John DeVoe , Mr. Sebastian Bauer - - and thence proceeded to Mount Olivet Cemetery, where the interment took place
