Richard Arnold Burris was a son of Chaney and Ruth (Bender) Burris. He was married to Rosalie Stevens on June 18, 1961 in Clinton, Iowa. Rosie preceded him in death in February, 2007. They were the parents of 2 sons and 3 daughters. Surviving are a son Bill, daughters Pat and Cindy. Surviving siblings are June, Chaney, Edith, John and Gwen. In addition to his wife, he was also preceded in death by his son Tim and daughter Sue Murphy, his parents and two brothers, Ron and Craig. He served in the U.S. Navy and worked as a carpenter.
