Robert Dudley Acker of Churchville died peacefully on Monday, December 11, 2017 surrounded by his loving family at Chandler Hall Hospice. He was 77.

Born in Binghamton, NY Robert was the beloved husband of 53 years to Diane Walle Acker and son of the late Dudley and Helen Farley Acker.

Robert was a Veteran of the Army who served our country during the Vietnam War. He was a graduate of New York Institute of Technology in 1967 where he earned a Bachelor of Science Degree. For over 25 years he traveled throughout the United States performing Franchise Sales on everything from Hotel to Restaurant chains focusing on primarily on the East and West Coasts.

He was a family man who would stop at nothing to help his family and be there to support them. He held a fond affection for the family pets and also for all animals. Since his retirement, Robert relished in the hobby of purchasing and selling Golden Age Comics. Robert will be greatly missed but for ever remembered as a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather.

In addition to his beloved wife Diane, Robert is survived by his loving sons and their spouses: Grant and Natasha of Crockett, CA, Brett and Honora Jackson of Wayne, PA, and Todd and Emily of Philadelphia. He is also survived by his dear grandsons Alexander and Arthur.

Robert’s family will receive friends on Sunday, December 17, 2017 from 5:00pm until his Memorial Service at 7:00pm at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home 800 Newtown-Richboro Rd. (at Holland Rd.) Richboro, PA 18954. His interment will be held privately at Washington Crossing National Cemetery in Newtown.
