David Leroy Fritz, 82, passed at his home peacefully in his sleep on November 20th. Dave was a Master Chief in the US Navy for 30 years and a member of Our Lady of the Fields. He was very active in the parish and a generous supporter of the parish outreach programs. He enjoyed gardening, trips to Lancaster and supporting the American Music Theatre.
Born on August 4th, 1935 in Pottsville, Pennsylvania to Leroy and Thelma Fritz, he was married to the late Elaine M. Fritz for 44 years and is survived by his four children, Steve Fritz, Jules Fritz, David Fritz and Sharon McCarthy. Dave was blessed with 11 grandchildren and in his later years with a long time girlfriend Ms. Loretta Rocko.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm on Monday, November 27 at the Hardesty Funeral Home, 851 Annapolis Road in Gambrills. A Catholic mass will be held at 10 am on Tuesday, November 28 at Our Lady of the Fields Catholic Church, 1070 Cecil Ave in Millersville, with a burial to follow in the church cemetery. A reception will follow in the church hall for all to share their memories of Dave with the family and friends.
